Abisko Sweden, 3 nights, 3 guided trips

Rugged mountains with snow-capped peaks and crystal clear waters. Abisko is a magnificent destination that must be experienced! Three night in Mountain Hotel and Three Guided Tours included!

Our trip to Sweden in July will take us to Abisko National Park in Swedish Lapland and its surrounding areas. The trip is primarily a fishing trip, and we will have kayaks suitable for fishing, but canoeing is also an experience without fishing equipment, just enjoying the scenery and nature. Abisko also has countless hiking trails, which you can explore on your own, starting from the hotel or our fishing spots. Hiking is also available at an additional cost with the assistance of a helicopter. Accommodation in Abisko is in a hotel in double rooms, from where we will make three trips to the surrounding area. Lake Torniojärvi and the smaller lakes and rivers in the area are where we go canoeing and fishing. The fish species we target here are grayling, trout, whitefish, and whitefish.

Abisko National Park is located in a beautiful mountain landscape on the shores of Lake Torniojärvi. The surrounding mountains rise to heights of 1,000-1,500 meters and above. Hiking trails also lead from Abisko to Sweden’s highest mountain, Kebnekaise, which is over 2000 meters high. In other words, the scenery is spectacular. Abisko is also home to one of Sweden’s national landscapes, Lapporten (Lapland Gate), which can be seen right next to our accommodation.

We will arrive at the destination by our own means of transport on the afternoon of July 11, 2026. Accommodation will be arranged at your own pace through the hotel reception.

Our fishing and canoeing destinations are Lake Torniojärvi (Torneträsk) and the smaller waterways in the area, especially the lakes. The main goal is to canoe on the mystical Torneträsk, but we reserve the right to head to other waterways if the weather conditions require it.

The main fish species in Torneträsk are arctic char and trout. Grayling and even pike can also be found in the rivers. The same fish species are found in the smaller lakes. In addition, the lower lakes have strong whitefish stocks in places.

Day trip destinations are always decided based on weather conditions. If weather conditions permit, it is possible to fish from the shore of the area’s rivers. Transportation is provided to all day trip destinations, and fishing kayaks are provided at canoeing destinations. In addition to Torneträsk, canoeing destinations include small lakes in the area rich in whitefish, as well as the char and trout lakes above Torneträsk. There are also several rivers in the area that can be explored on foot or, weather permitting, by canoe. The excursions are led by a canoeing instructor, but fishing is done independently. The excursions last about 6 hours, except on the day of arrival, when it is possible to take a shorter excursion due to the time of arrival.

In good weather, you can continue canoeing and fishing on your own at Torneträsk for as long as you wish. The shore of Torneträsk is within walking distance of our hotel.

Accommodation is in double rooms with two separate beds, shower, and toilet. Breakfast is included in the price, as is use of the hotel sauna for men and women (two separate saunas). The hotel also has a bar and a high-quality à la carte restaurant serving local food, such as reindeer and elk.

Dates: July 11–14, 2026 (3 nights). Price: €450 per person, accommodation in double rooms. If you are traveling alone, please contact us to inquire about the availability of single rooms. Otherwise, the package is sold on a room-by-room basis for two people at a price of €900/2 people. The reservation fee is €180, which reserves a double room and travel for two people. When making your reservation, please enter the names of both travelers in the additional information field. You can pay the reservation fee on this page. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the start of the trip.

The price includes hotel accommodation with breakfast, tour guide services, canoeing and fishing trips led by a canoeing instructor, kayak rental with equipment for three days, and transportation to day trip destinations. The price does not include fishing licenses, which can be purchased from the tourist information office in Kiruna on arrival or online, for example at the hotel.

If three nights seems too short, you can add a trip to our Muonio River destination on the way there, where later reservations end on July 11. It takes a few hours to drive from Kolari to Abisko. Available for booking in our online store.
