Ice Fishing trip in Joensuu
Ice fishing days in Joensuu are organized for groups of 5-25 people from January to April, depending on ice conditions. Larger groups are based at Kalmonkatiska in Kuhasalo, while smaller groups are based at Mulon kota in Mulo, from where guides take them to the fishing spots. Ice fishing lasts for 3 hours, and the hut is available for use throughout the trip. An ice fishing competition can also be arranged. Creamy lake fish soup is served for lunch in the hut.
The winter ice fishing day in Joensuu is designed for groups of 5-25 people. It is suitable for groups of friends or TYHY days, for example. The total duration is approximately 4 hours, of which 3 hours is spent ice fishing.
The ice fishing center is either Kalmonkatiska in Kuhasalo, mainly for groups of 12-25 people, or Mulon kota in Mulo for groups of less than 12 customers. Groups arrive at the destination by their own means of transport and gather at the hut, where the guides welcome the group. Participants will receive a brief introduction to safe movement on ice and ice fishing before heading out onto the ice. Participants can fish right by the shore or venture further out to other fishing spots. If necessary, they can return to the hut to warm up by the fire and drink coffee.
After ice fishing, lunch is served in the hut: creamy lake fish soup, salad, bread, coffee from a local roastery, tea, and those who wish can bake stick bread. Special diets are taken into account when notified 7 days before the trip.
The package includes hut rental, permission from the water area owner to organize the ice fishing event, ice fishing equipment, bait, guide services, and lunch. Each participant is responsible for wearing clothing suitable for the weather and ice conditions. Warm footwear and overalls are available for rent, but we cannot guarantee that they will be available for everyone.
Kalmon Katiska Hut, for groups of 13-25 people

Minimum charge for 13 people. Maximum group size 25 people. Includes guide services, hut rental, ice fishing equipment, lunch and coffee in the hut, hut cleaning staff. Sunday supplement €10/person.
Mulo Hut for 5-12 people
Starting at €350/5 people (€70/person)
Additional persons €30/person
Minimum charge for 5 persons, max. 12 persons. Includes the services of one guide, who will instruct participants in ice fishing during the first hour. The guide will take the ice fishers to the nearest fishing spots and make plenty of holes in the ice. The ice fishers will have their own ice drills to use. After the guided tour, the guide will go to prepare lunch, and customers can continue ice fishing on their own for about 2 hours.
