Canoeing adventure at a wilderness river
Several small wilderness rivers in Northern Karelia are suitable as canoeing destinations for those seeking tranquillity. Some of our destinations are only accessible in canoes during the early summer when the water level is high, and some are accessible throughout the summer season. There can be some fallen trees and beaver dams along the smaller rivers, slowing down the journey. However, there are no fast-flowing rapids on the routes, and all the rapids can also be avoided along the shores. We carry out canoeing excursions as just excursion canoeing and fishing excursions. The target species in these are mainly pike and perch. The canoeing excursion can be carried out as a day excursion or as a longer 2-night excursion.
